Thank you for “meeting” us. There is so much we want to say to you, but let’s start with hello. We are Jeremy and Abrielle, and we hope this letter finds you in moments of peace and comfort, knowing that you are making a decision that comes from a place of tremendous love and courage.
It fills our hearts with the deepest gratitude that you are considering us as potential parents for the precious baby you are carrying. Our journey to becoming parents has not been what we expected; it has filled us with happiness and brought us to our knees with sorrow. Our path to parenthood has included multiple miscarriages, the death of our son, Daniel, the day he was born, and now secondary infertility. Our faith in Christ and dedication to one another have helped us walk through these tragedies hand-in-hand, and now, we are ready to welcome a beautiful child into our lives through the blessing of adoption.
When we think of holding our adopted child in our arms for the first time, our hearts swell with emotion. We know that families come together in all kinds of ways and that biology does not define the depth of connection and love between a parent and child. Our greatest desire is to love, nurture, and support a child within our home, providing a space filled with endless love, laughter, and opportunities for growth.
We understand this child’s story will be unique, with both celebration and loss. We feel the weight of this and are committed to holding a space for all those involved, even as we hold a space for you now. Wherever you are on this path, you are not alone.
Your courage and love inspire us and we hope you find peace in knowing you made the best choice for your baby, whatever that choice is.
