Development & Marketing Coordinator

Job Description

Catholic Charities of Eastern Virginia is seeking an energetic, dynamic professional to serve as its Development & Marketing Coordinator. The ideal candidate understands and embraces Catholic social teachings and can communicate effectively to diverse audiences as well as strong interpersonal skills to work successfully with staff, board members, and community and funding partners.

This is a full-time position eligible for benefits. Training and an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. The ideal candidate will be a positive self-starter with a love for service to vulnerable populations and a strong work ethic.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Marketing or related field strongly preferred.
• Experience in an area related to office administrative support, development, marketing, project management or event coordination and nonprofit work experience.
• Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing
• Excellent organization, written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, time management, problem solving skills
• Ability to work with databases such as Bloomerang, Apricot
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Canva, Publisher, Google Drive/Docs
• Excellent people skills, ability to work independently and collaborate in teams
• Able to multi-task various projects while meeting deadlines
• Flexibility in work schedule when required for events

Duties

• Assist the development team with the administrative and public relations aspects of fundraising.
• Assist with improving business opportunities while strengthening relationships with clients and donors.
• Research and identify funding opportunities, promote the organization’s mission and value to external stakeholders.
• Assist in developing and implementing the organization’s brand, coordinating, and executing all areas of marketing.
• Manage social media accounts, website content, special events, and community and funding partners.
• Assist with Grant proposals, newsletter, and annual reports.

Benefits

• Salary of $43,000 – $45,000 per year.
