Job Description

Catholic Charities of Eastern Virginia is searching for a Part-Time LPC or LCSW to help lead our Mental Health Department. This position can be based out of our Princess Anne Road office in Virginia Beach, our office in the Churchland area of Chesapeake, or our Newport News office. The primary job of the LPC/LCSW is to provide therapy sessions to underserved populations and to assist in overseeing license-eligible resident counselors, interns, and counselors in several area private schools.

The ideal candidate is passionate about providing access to mental health therapy for those who may struggle to afford the care or are uninsured. This position is ideal for someone in search of a flexible schedule, allowing them to build their own schedule while working no more than 30 hours per week.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work or Counseling with an affinity for diverse populations
  • Must be licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia as an LPC or LCSW
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, & Outlook
  • Familiarity with community resources
  • Acceptance of CCEVA’s mission & values, and Catholic Charities Code of Ethics, including the Seven Principles of Catholic Social Teaching
  • Must successfully pass a background check & drug screening


Duties

  • Provide professional counseling services to children, adults, and families
  • Provide professional supervision services to license-eligible interns and residents in CCEVA’s program (if applicable and interested)
  • Maintain accurate and complete case records and perform file review in accordance with supervision standards
  • Maintain relationships and attend meetings with referral sources and other nonprofit agencies to build agency referrals and working relationships
 
Benefits
  • Salary $57,000 – $60,000 per year (depending on number of hours)
